| About Me | I had a wonderful childhood growing up in Refugio and Corpus Christi, Texas. My parents are Cena and Marilyn Claire "Pat" Thompson. My dad passed away in 1979 at the age of 55. We are planning a birthday celebration for mom's 90th birthday on 10/27/13. My wife, Mary Gayle (Garland) and I were married on September 16, 1967 in San Marcos, Texas. Mary Gayle's parents were Dr. James Jasper Garland and Jean Brown. Both are deceased. Mary Gayle and I lived 7 years in Austin, Texas and 30 years in Gonzales County, near Harwood, Texas before moving to our current home in New Braunfels, Texas. We custom built our current home in the John Newcombe Estates and Country Club in 2010. We have two wonderful adult children, a daughter, Lesli Dabney and a son, Ray Morgan. Lesli and her husband, David Dabney, were married in May 1967 and live in Houston, Texas. Ray and Dr. Heather (Harris) Morgan were married in November 2010 and live in Richardson, Texas. We have two wonderful granddaughters, Arden Dabney, age 9, and Tess Dabney, age 6, with another granddaughter, Cora Claire Morgan due in February. My work experiences have included 30 years in public education, 12 years working at the Texas Education Agency, 10 years as owner of a commercial egg farm, 4 years as owner of a used car dealership and 3 years working in the home mor...(read more) |
