Paula was my BFF in high school and Tom Brown Junior High. I was there when she blew out those 18 candles in the profile picture. Her mother had made a German Chocolate Cake, Paula's favorite, for her birthday.
She had the greatest sense of humor and always made me laugh. Even though she is moments away from death in the attached photo, you can see that Paula always had a smile on her face....no matter what. I continue to miss her so very much....
God puts people together somehow. Her grandmother, who owned the Merle Norman Studio in downtown Madisonville, TX, lived only 20 minutes from my grandmother in Centerville, TX....yet somehow we were both in orchestra together in Corpus Christi, TX in the same high school. God is good.... Paula moved to the valley after high school to attend Pan Am University. She married and had two children before retiring to enjoy her two granddaughters. Thank you Billy Britt for posting all the photos of your mom on your facebook page.
