Dave Lee Flaugh, 51, of Roaring Spring, went home to be with the Lord Saturday evening at home after fighting a hard battle with ALS. He was born in Altoona, the son of Paul Flaugh.
He married Rhonda Winters on Aug. 15, 1992.
Surviving are his father, Paul, and his stepmother, Shirley of Williamsburg; his wife; two daughters, Taylor Buchanan and her husband Jake, and Meghan Flaugh; a granddaughter Rose Marie Buchanan, all of Roaring Spring; three brothers; Tim Flaugh and his wife Cindy, Ed Flaugh and his wife, Jackie, and Mark Flaugh and his wife Nicole; and a sister-in-law Cathy Flaugh, all of East Freedom; along with many other loving family members.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Carl Flaugh.
Dave was a active member of the Bare Memorial Church of God, where he was currently serving as a elder.
He was a 1990 graduate of Central High School and a 1992 graduate of Mount Aloysius College.
Dave was employed as a truck driver for CLI Transport.
He loved speading the word of God, landscaping/farming, setting off fireworks, food, going to Virginia Beach and especially, spending time with his family.
Dave was a member of the ALS Association-Western Pennsylvania Chapter, and the Beating the Odds Foundation.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at Bare Memorial Church of God, Roaring Spring, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday with Pastor Steve DiBiase. Interment will follow at Claysburg Union Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Todd T. Thompson Funeral Home Inc., Roaring Spring.
In lieu of Flowers, Contributions in Dave's Memory may be given to the ALS Association of Western PA, 416 Lincoln Ave., Millvale, PA 15209.
