| About Me | Born in Steubenville and raised in Bellaire and Martins Ferry, Ohio, our forever family home was in Colerain, Ohio. I received my undergrad and graduate degree from The Ohio State University in 1976. I served As a Lieutenant in the Public Health Service and provided dental care on the Cocopah & Quechan Indian reservations in Yuma, Arizona. I moved to Los Angeles, California and opened my own dental office in June, 1978. I co-founded the United States' first Non Profit Dental Clinic for treating persons with HIV-AIDS in 1985. I co-chaired this clinic for three years. It is now the Aids Dental Clinic for Project Aids, Los Angeles. I have served on the LA County Health Board and LGBTQ+ Boards including the Dental Society for Human Rights, The West Hollywood Aquatics, The International Gay and Lesbian Aquatics, and the Federation of Gay Games. I am a masters swimmer, and I organized and ran with assistance from the German Masters Swimming organization, the Aquatics for the Gay Games in CoIogne (Koln), Germany in 2010. 1200 athletes participated in this aquatics event. earned a masters degree in Spiritual Psychology from the university of Santa Monica in 2011. I retired from my 41 year dental career in August, 2017, and I am now an artist living in relationship with William, in the San Juancinto Mountains, two hours east of Los Angeles and 11 miles above Palm Springs, California.
