Favorite School Memory	1. Arguing about 1984 versus Brave New World in Mrs. McWain's class. 2. Close second is teaching "The Miser" to Mrs. Proctor's (Lana's) sophomore English class on Senior teach day. It led to my wanting to become a professor!
About Me	Attended UT for 5 years, changing majors halfway through from Astronomy to English. Tutored underprivileged high schoolers for 2 years. Participated in the English Honors programming taking me to the Oxford England Summer Study Abroad program. Cultivated my interest in film into a legitimate interest in film criticism. Became a damn fine cook with a particular interest in gourmet cooking. Participated in a Healthy Sexuality Peer Education group helping spread the knowledge of safe sex and contraception use throughout campus. Got a job to sustain myself while applying to grad school.
