About Me	Since high school - that's a span of 45 years ! I'm a professor at MSU although I no longer teach. My field is education and technology and I work on large US funded programs to reform education and teacher education in Islamic countries in conflict or crisis. I work and have lived at times in Algeria, Lebanon, Pakistan, and Nigeria as well as Dubai and the United Arab Emirates (which isn't in conflict) .... I also consult for the US State Department (USAID) on funding issues related to education in the Middle East and North Africa. I've also consulted for a private organization on rebuilding schools destroyed by the Taliban in Pakistan's Swat Valley. In addition at MSU I'm a member of the University's Muslim Studies Core Faculty and the Military Education Committee. I'm divorced - have two boys who live in Key West - and have started a new business enterprise to create electronic and social media games .
