David F. Bailey named VP/Administrator of St. Joseph's Hospital-Buckhannon ,WV. Recently acquired by WVUMedicine/United Hospital Center, St. Joseph's has, for 90 years, been operated by the Pallottine Missionary Sisters, who, as their numbers have declined, have decided to divest themselves of their two West Virginia health care facilities.
Bailey is a Michigan native, and, has been associated with United Hospital Center since 1987 in numerous executive roles. Prior to that he spent 4 years in Abu Dhabi providing international health care in a new specialty hospital owned by the Presidential Court of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and managed by Whittaker Life Sciences of Los Angeles. This facility is the premier pediatric oncology facility for the UAE and only treats Emirati citizens. Before that he had been at Munson Medical Center Traverse City MI.

Bailey will stay at St. Joseph's until a new permanent administrator is hired by WVUMedicine/United Hospital Center at which point he will retire. He plans to remain in Bridgeport WV and numerous trips are planned to Australia, New Zealand, N. Ireland, Abu Dhabi among other places.
