Steve was born 3 November 1959 in Quincy, Illinois, and passed away at the Shawnee Medical Center in Independence, Missouri on 6 December 2008. He is survived by children, Nick and Hannah Lyman; parents, Fred and Martha Lyman; sister, Teresa Franklin; brothers, Kirk (Brenda) Lyman and Michael Lyman; and ex-wife, Donna Lyman. Memorial services were held 11 December 2008 at Our Lady of Presentation Catholic Church, Lee's Summit, Missouri.
