Loyal Whiteside

Class of 1941

Loyal moved to Mars from Cooperstown in 1932 and lived on Cherry Street till 1942 when he was drafted into the US Army. Served in the army till 1949, 3 1/2 years active duty and 3 years in the reserves. Went to photography school in Philadelphia and opened his own studio in 1950 in Ridley Park,Pa. Served a very special group till 1984 when he retired to Florida. He married a childhood sweet heart in 1947 and they lived a very happy life with a family of four children till 2009 when Marilyn died. Loyal lived alone till 2012 when he moved to a very nice independent living complex in Lake Worth, Florida. This was very close to his youngest daughter, Leslie Henry. He would be very happy to keep in contact with old friends by way of email or letters.
