I volunteered to do the mail one day and it became my job. I loved giving people their mail,.. it was "better than gold", a word from home... so when I got out, I worked for the USPS 'till I retired, Feb of '09. I also got to do some special duty at a military ski "resort" in Alaska, where I was stationed the majority of my time.

Immediately after a lifetime of Arizona weather, after graduating from Cryptologic Technician A-school in Orlando, got sent to Scotland. Spent so much time there, I almost got dual-citizenship. In Nov '93, returned home for about a year or so then rejoined the Navy due to economic difficulties. After a brief time in San Diego, was sent to Diego Garcia.......and had a BLAST - south of the equator with, I felt, perfect weather...it was more like a vacation than work. As far as what work I DID, I can't say.....except that I had a security clearance well above Top Secret. SHH! ;)

I also qualified as a Plane Capitan (Crew Chief) Responsible for all Maintenance on the RF-8G aircraft.
I was Stationed at Miramar NAS with a Photo Recon Squadron VFP-63 Det4.
I was deployed on the Nimitz 79-80 med cruse, and was on flight deck Watch, when 3 Jolly green Giants were rolled out on deck no markings at all and Dark grey. This turned out to be Seal Team 6,on their way to rescue the Iran American hostages.
