May 8th - Friday Night - Class of 1965 Social Event
6:00 pm - We're planning to get together at the Knights of Columbus (formerly Sylvester’s), 217 N. Main St. USA, in Marceline. We will furnish food on that evening and as most of you know it is the best time to socialize. As of now, we are planning to have pulled pork from King Processing, and sub trays from Mr. Goodcents, veggie trays, chips, etc. Water and tea will be available for dinner. We will also have a memorial that evening for those classmates who have passed away. Feel free to gather at the Knights of Columbus when you arrive in town, but we will plan to eat around 6:00 pm. This will be a BYOB event.

Friday evening casual get-together to get re-acquainted with classmates before the banquet, reminisce with old friends, and laugh at the funny pictures we dug up! Come when you can if you can't make it at 6 p.m. Food: Deli sandwiches, veggies, chips and dip, cookies, etc. Drinks: Coffee, tea, and water provided. If you prefer something other than these, bring your own drinks. Donations will be accepted to offset expense for food and drink. Alumni Banquet is at 6 p.m. Saturday, May 12. Any questions? Dear Classmates: First things first - Mark your calendars for Friday, May 11th and Saturday, May 12th (Mother's Day weekend). Turn in your vacation request for time off from your jobs, and book those hotels if your relatives won't let you stay with them! (ha) Seriously, if you need a hotel, there is the Lamplighter in Marceline (660-376-3517) or the Best Western in Brookfield (660-258-4900). Over the past month, we have made a huge attempt to find everyone from our class and get their current e-mails and/or addresses. If you have not been contacted by me in the last 4 weeks, please send me an e-mail with your current address. If you notice in the "To" line that we do not have someone's name or e-mail, but you know what it is, and/or where they are, please send that to me as soon as possible so we can get this list updated before the real important updates get sent. I have quite a few classmate's addresses (not sure if current or not), but not their e-mails, so we are going to send out some first-class mail notices also. PLEASE JUST SENT ME A QUICK REPLY confirming that you received this e-mail so we can send the informational e-mails. Mike Crager will be putting together a slide show for us and more information on that is coming your way shortly, with format and deadlines.
