About Me	Music is what feelings sound like. ~Author Unknown Born in Levittown, New York. Moved to Iowa in sixth grade, CULTURE SHOCK!!! I fell in love with horses, music and boys in that order! I have had many different careers-mostly non-profit in the arts or social service type work with senior citizens. I love to play with my flowers, always rearranging the beds. I am a very strong advocate for minority populations including gifted education, Hispanic immigrants and gay rights. I have four children ranging from 16 - 28. I am married to Floyd Gerleman and we live in Clive, Iowa- a suburb of Des Moines by the infamous Jordan Creek Mall. Both of my parents are gone; my brother and his family lives almost on the beach in Montauk, NY and sister in Loretto, Minnesota on the lake. We all LOVE the water, especially the ocean.
