| About Me | Shortly after graduation I ended up in the Army, which proved to be interesting. Following separation from the government, I attended U of Iowa and U of Illinois… ending up with a degree in Neurophysiology. For a number of years I worked at a kids hospital in Chicago in the Neurosurgery Department, before switching back into IT, which I had done for the government. I was recruited into IBM and spent about 10 years with big blue. Wanting to get back into healthcare, I left IBM and went to Cook County in Chicago. It is a gigantic inner-city health system, whose Emergency Room routinely has conventions of the “gun and knife club”. It was the basis for the TV show ,”ER” and gave us the opportunity to work with a number of the cast members. I later was recruited to Cerner, the biggest healthcare software provider in the industry. While at Cerner, my wife and I lived in Melbourne Australia for 2 years. Along the way, I am fortunate enough to be married for 44 years to my wife, Renee. We raised a daughter and son… and did our best to raise them right. Unfortunately, they both ended up as Attorneys.
