Bob graduated with a law degree from the University of Missouri where he was a Kappa Sig.
He moved to Southern California and had a successful law career. He was the attorney for the late movie star Rock Hudson and protected his estate from many bogus lawsuits from people saying they had had relationships with the actor. Bob eventually wrote a book about the circumstances titled, “Between a Rock and a Hard Case.”
While at Maplewood High, Bob was a fine athlete in both football and baseball, was a scholar, and acted in school plays. An all around outstanding member of his class. He was inducted into the Maplewood High Hall of Fame a few years before his passing.
On a personal note, Bob and I grew up just a block apart in Richmond Heights: he on Hiawatha and me on Arlington Drive. We played sports during the summer at East Richmond Elementary School and had a lot of fun playing dodgeball and softball and just hanging out. He was a good friend who you could always count on if you needed help. I’ll always remember those “salad” days with Bob.
