About	Daniel Ray Sanchez, 49, of Edgewood, NM, passed away on January 16, 2014 after a long illness. Sanchez was born in Longmont, CO on April 28, 1964. He graduated from Manzano High School in 1982 and joined the Army where he served in the Iraq war. Daniel received a degree in Military Science before retiring after 27 years of service to his country. He was a devoted and loving husband, father and friend. Daniel was married to his soul mate, Tina (Ricard) Sanchez, on February 14, 2001. He is survived by his two children, a son, Eric Nusbaum, and a daughter Charlene Bartles; his wife, Tina (Ricard) Sanchez; 2 grandchildren Sofia Bartles and Desiree Nusbaum; 2 sisters, Debra Sanchez and her partner Stacy Anderson, Janet Sisneros and her husband Michael Sisneros; 3 nephews Joseph Sisneros, Jordan Sisneros and Richard Rood; 3 nieces Wendy Valla, Tauzha Stidham and Katie Price and multiple aunts, uncles, and cousins. A Visitation will be held at Daniels Family Funeral Services, 7601 Wyoming Blvd NE, between the hours of 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm on Tuesday, January 21, 2014. On Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at 7:30 AM the procession will leave the funeral home for the services at National Cemetery located in Santa Fe at 9 AM.
