About	Shirley Myers, 66, of Mansfield, passed away Thursday, October 8, 2015, at Select Specialty Hospital in Akron, Ohio. She was born June 4, 1949, in Mansfield, Ohio, to the late James Jones Jr. and Inell Lindsay. She was raised by her paternal grandparents, James Sr. and Naomi Jones. Shirley was a member of Oasis of Love Church and always loved dressing up to go out. She enjoyed traveling and knitting, but her most favorite times, were spent in the company of her family, especially the grandchildren she adored. Shirley is survived by her husband, John W. Myers; three daughters, Toya (James) Jackson of Noblesville, IN, Areta (Charles) Williams of Newton, GA, and Genice (James) Johnston of Akron, OH; a step son, Issac (Teri) Horton of Louisville, KY; six grandchildren, Andre (Ai) Thomas, Montias Jackson, Shaipre Wellington, Atera Williams, Aliyyah Jackson and Aayanah Jackson; two great-grandchildren, Julian Wellington and Alejandro Thomas; six siblings, Reva Woods, Betty Harris, Constance Wade, Candace Lindsay, Chester Lindsay and Craig Lindsay; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; paternal grandparents; and two siblings, James Jones III and Cherie Lindsay.
Events	The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 13, 2015, in the Oasis of Love Church, 190 Chester Avenue, Mansfield, Ohio. Dr. Walter E. Jordan II will conduct the service which follows at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. Anyone wishing to send flowers may send them to the church for the family to receive. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is honored to serve the family of Shirley Myers.
