Dwight Morris Jessee, 59, died Thursday evening, November 20, 2008 at his home. Born January 31, 1949, in Mansfield, he was the son of Alfred E. Jessee and Alwilda (Colley) Diamond. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the 79th Engineering Battalion. Dwight attended Diamond Hill Cathedral.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah (Todd) Jessee; a daughter, Rachel Marie Manning of Mansfield; two sons, Charles R. (Patricia) Jessee of Crestline, and Isaac D. (Michaelann) Jessee of Mansfield; nine grandchildren, Brooke, Julian, Grant Manning, Joshua, Abraham, Kathryn, Elisha Jessee, Robert and Rose O'Melia; stepfather, Richard Diamond; three brothers, Miles Jessee of Bellville, Mark Jessee of Mansfield and Roland (Renee) Jessee of Latrobe, PA; a sister, Twyla Jessee of Loudonville; and ten nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Sunday, November 23 at Diamond Hill Cathedral, 500 Tingley Ave. , Mansfield. Funeral services conducted by Rev. Charles Carrier will be Monday at 1:00 p.m. in the church. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery with military honors by the Richland County Joint Veteran's Burial Detail.
