Phil was a good friend of mine. In high school, we took several honor classes together. We were also fellow Saxophone Players.
He was an excellent HS student and a great Saxophonist. In Orchestra, he played the Bassoon and I played the Base Clarinet. We both enjoyed playing Swan Lake by Tchaikovsky. We didn't see each other much in undergraduate school but, later we met up when we both attended Case Western Reserve Medical School together. I remember many late nights of studying and preparing for exams. Phil became a Neurologist and I became an OB/GYN. I remember him for his love of fine dinning and always wanting to discuss philosophical issues. We occasionally touched bases over the many years. I was shocked to learn of his untimely passing. I'm sure Phil is entertaining an audience in heaven with his wonderful Saxophone Playing. RIP Phil.
