About | Sheila Jean Tveito, 61, Mandan, passed away October 6th, 2023 at Sanford Health Bismarck. She was cremated at DaWise-Perry Mandan Crematory, 4211 Old Red Trail, Mandan. A Celebration of Life will be held in the party room connected to the bar at Midway Lanes, 3327 Memorial Hwy, Mandan, this Friday, October 13, 2023 at 7:00 pm. It'll be open to the public and is kid friendly. Sheila was born November 8, 1961 to Frank “Joe” and Perpetua “Bella” (Resler) Ereth and ended up being the second youngest of 10 siblings. She was raised and educated in Mandan and graduated from Mandan High School in 1980. She married the love of her life, Leigh Tveito, on November 13, 1982. After getting married and having two children, Ashlei in 1984 and Leigh Jr. in 1987, Sheila was a stay-at-home mom and loved every minute of it. Once both of her children were in school, she enjoyed volunteering at Roosevelt Elementary where her kids attended school. She also started working at Midway Lanes where she worked her way up to General Manager and held that position until the day she passed. She always enjoyed spending time with family and friends; especially her mom and all her sisters, her very dear friend, Tammy Kear, her long-time next-door neighbor, Rita VanDaalen, and her sister-in-law, Karen Rychlik, with whom she had a very close bond. Her only grandchild, a granddaughter named Haiven, was so loved and spoiled by her and she was the best “Grammy” on the entire planet! She would do any and everything for her "Haiven Babe" who already misses her dearly. Sheila spent lots of time playing cards, horseshoes, bowling, and practically established citizenship at Graner Park south of Mandan every summer where she and Leigh created lots of fun memories with their many camping friends. She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 41 years, Leigh, her daughter, Ashlei, her son, Leigh Jr., and her granddaughter, Haiven, who was the apple of her eye; her sisters, Marion Neibauer, Linda Baron, Lorraine (Gordie) Gatzke, Carol (Tony) Meier, Darlene (Daryl) Schaf, and Bernice (Wayne) Schaf; her brothers, Murray (Pearl) Ereth, Randy Ereth, and Mark (Yvonne) Ereth; her mother-in-law, Joyce Tveito; her sisters-in-law, Cindy (Kirk) Grimm, Gerri Ressler (Ricky Loftice), and Karen (Jerry) Rychlik; her brothers-in-law, Steven (Marlene) Tveito, and Curtis Tveito; her numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; her boss of 30 years, Jim Mellon; her close friends, Bud and Tammy Kear, Doug and Rita VanDaalen, Mike and Paula Massee, Steve and Mary Himmelspach, Greta Jahraus, and so many others who were very special friends to her; and finally, her two kitties, Chaos and Mayhem. Sheila was preceded in death by both of her parents, Joe and Bella; her father-in-law, Gerhard “Gary” Tveito; and her two beloved Shih Tzu’s, Kirby and Lily.
