Rose Carol Kunkel Krush was my life long friend since 6th grade when her family moved to Mandan from Yakima, Washington. Rose introduced her classmates to Double Dutch jumping rope which became very popular.
We attended the Redeemer Lutheran Church, had confirmation classes together, spent occasional Saturdays together crafting crepe paper flowers. She stayed with her grandparents during the school year, her parents lived in New Salem.
I visited Rose and her husband Tony on their farm near Wilton, ND several times and we kept in touch every year until the last year. Rest in peace, Rose, nice memories.
