About | Born in Mandan, ND on Aug. 28, 1962 Departed on Apr. 3, 2006 and resided in Mandan, ND. Neal Geiger, age 43, Mandan, died April 3, 2006 due to injuries sustained in an accident. Neal's wishes were to be cremated following the funeral service. Neal L. Geiger was born on August 28, 1962 in Mandan, the son of Joseph and Loretta (Bonderenko) Geiger. He received his education in Mandan, graduating from Mandan High School. Neal was employed by Cass Clay as a dock worker. Neal was the "handyman" to call when something needed to be fixed. Some of his many talents included, mechanical abilities, carpentry skills and construction expertise. His family will miss having him around when something goes wrong, they could always count on him being there in a moment's notice. Neal cherished the time he spent hunting with his nephews and his large group of friends who he was close to. Deer hunting and making sausage with a special recipe was a favorite pastime of his. Whenever his nieces or nephews were involved in a fundraiser, they were assured that Neal would support them—at Christmastime, he always remembered his nieces and nephews with gifts. He loved 60's, 70's and 80's music…he was able to name a song by only hearing the first few notes. Neal certainly preferred to be active rather than sit around. His buddy, Yukon, his dog, will miss all the fun times they shared together. Neal's family will deeply miss the quiet, thoughtful and sensitive man that Neal was. He was generous with his time and, above all, he noticed the needs of others, mostly by being a good listener. His shy smile and gentle manner will forever be held in the hearts of all who knew him. Left with fond memories of Neal are his two brothers and one sister-in-law, Mark (Kim) Geiger of Mandan and Dale Geiger of Arizona; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary (Gerald) Quintus of Richardton, ND and Peggy (Duane) Walsh of Alabama; seven nieces and nephews, Joe and Betsy Geiger, Dustin, Garrett and Carly Quintus, Jacob and Colton Walsh; two aunts, Adeline Bahr of Glen Ullin and Bertha Geiger of Dickinson; one uncle, Tom Geiger of Mandan; his special friend, JoLynn Lefor of Mandan. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; numerous aunts and uncles. |
