About	Linda G. Latham, age 77, passed away on Monday, March 11, 2024. Born in Haledon, she lived in North Haledon all her life. Her working career was spent as a secretary, bookkeeper, and office manager. Linda’s final job was with Tricep Machine Co., Inc. She also was a crossing guard for the North Haledon Police Department for approximately 5 years. Linda volunteered at Ditto, a non-profit ministry of the Eastern Christian Schools, and she was a home friend of the North Jersey Development Center until its closing. She loved all animals and making craft items from dried and silk flowers as well as things found in nature. Linda was also an ordained deacon and lifetime member of North Haledon Presbyterian Church. Linda was predeceased by her grandparents, Alfred and Frieda (nee Speisser) Ahnert, her father, Tunis Quick, her mother Ruth Marie Helen (nee Ahnert), a sister Joan Marie Quick, a brother, William Tunis Quick and her fiancé, Harry P.Ille. Linda is survived by her daughter, Lisa Marie Southway and her husband Robert of Layton, NJ, her grandson Kenny and his wife Mandy, and her granddaughter Jessica. Family and friends may visit the Latham family on Friday, March 15, 2024, from 10 AM – 12 PM at the Vander Plaat-Vermeulen Memorial Home, 530 High Mountain Road, Franklin Lakes, NJ. Funeral service to follow immediately after visitation at 12 PM at the funeral home. After a drive past her beloved home, which was built by her grandfather and his brother, John Ahnert, an interment will take place at Laurel Grove Memorial Park in Totowa. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Linda’s name to the ASPCA at www.aspca.org., or to any animal shelter of your choosing.
