About | KINKADE, John William John William Kinkade, Woburn, MA passed away March 7, at the age of 68. John was born in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Ella Louise (Wright) and James M. Kinkade of Colorado and Oklahoma, respectively. John leaves so many loved ones to grieve his loss: his friend of 30 years, Sharon Delaney of Beverly, two brothers, James Kinkade of Pembroke and Peter Kinkade of Savannah, GA, and nephews, Matthew Kinkade, James Kinkade III and family, and Russell Kinkade. He also leaves many friends, co-workers and his extended family. He died too soon of prostate cancer and kidney disease which he courageously battled until his death at Sawtelle Family Hospice in Reading, MA. He credits the Lahey Hospital team of doctors and his primary care physician for the expert care he received to the end of his life. John found the career he loved and was most qualified for at LAM Research International as Staff Service Engineer for which he worked 30 years. He was a dedicated employee and highly regarded the people he worked with at LAM, and at his customer site, Analog Devices, in Wilmington, MA. He loved to travel and his career took him to Asia, South America, Europe, and across the U.S.A. John was a Vietnam War Veteran and proudly served in the United States Navy for six years. He had special security clearance and training as a nuclear technician. He served as electrician's mate on heliocopter carriers and battleships. His most notable service was on the USS Enterprise (CVN-65), our nation's first nuclear aircraft carrier. He was a graduate of Malden High School and Wentworth Technical Institute, Boston. John was a camper and a runner throughout his life. He loved the great outdoors. He was a passionate sports fan, especially the Patriots (of course). He loved history and was an avid reader. He will dearly be missed by all for his wonderful sense of humor, his skills and talents, his generosity and kindness, his entertaining ways, and his love for life. A Celebration for Life will be held at Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge. Family, co-workers and friends are invited to attend the Mt. Auburn Commemoration Ceremony on Wednesday, May 24th at 5:30 p.m. Visiting Hours: Mt.
