About	April 30, 1947-April 24, 2017 Joan M. Cann of Malden passed away on April 24th, 2017 with her loving family at her side after a short illness, she was 69. Joan was the daughter of the late Thomas & Margaret (O’Connell) McBride. She was born in Melrose and was a lifelong resident of Malden. She was educated in Malden School system and a graduate of Malden High School Class of 1965. Joan would later meet and married, the love of her life Brian S. Cann. The couple were married in St. Joseph’s Church, Malden on February 17, 1968 and remained in Malden and started a family. They would later welcome into their loving family, three children. Denise, Brian Jr. and Paul. As the children got older Joan took employment with the Malden Housing Authority and later with Data Printer of Malden. Joan later worked for many years as a devoted waitress with Jack’s Ristorante, on Eastern Ave., formerly Ferrari’s of Malden. She loved working with all her co-workers and serving all her customers and friends. In her spare time she enjoyed spending time with family and friends. But mostly, she cherished her time with her grandchildren, and nieces and nephews watching them grow up. She enjoyed her times at Foxwoods with friends and family. Joan is survived by her loving husband Brian S. Cann of Malden. She was the devoted mother of Denise M. Cann of Saugus and her fiancé Kevin Howard, Brian S. Cann Jr. , and his wife Jennifer Cann of Saugus and Paul D. Cann of Malden. Loving sister of Daniel F. McBride and his wife Kelly of CT. Cherished grandmother of Dylan M., Olivia E., Alex B. Cann & Lyrik Howard all of Saugus. In keeping with Joan’s wishes, visiting hours have been omitted. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Joseph’s Church, 770 Salem St., Malden, on Friday, April 28, 2017 at 9AM. Interment in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody at a later date.
