About | DENISE FRANCES BROUILLETTE Passed away at home in San Francisco on February 6, 2016, at the age of 69, after battling cancer for over two years. Denise is survived by her husband, Will Lutwick of San Francisco, her daughter, Andrea Kuchlewska from New York City, Andrea’s husband Zac Jaffee, and their daughter, Eda Jaffee. Denise is also survived by her sisters, Elaine Brouillette of Worcester, MA and Renee Smith of Franklin, MA. Denise grew up in Malden, MA, the daughter of Francis and Alice Lyons Brouillette. Denise attended Malden High School, Boston University (BA), and Simmons College (MBA). She worked in many roles early in her career, but she always was entrepreneurial and started her own very successful leadership development and executive coaching business in the early 1990s. First called The Innovative Edge, LLC, the name was changed to LeaderXpress, LLC in 2011. Denise was remarkably talented and devoted to her work. She coached many of her clients to transform both their careers and their personal lives and thus has a large and enthusiastic following. Denise consulted to top executives and managers at many of the biggest companies in the Bay Area, She also taught executive leadership courses for UC Berkeley and UC Davis. Despite her battle with cancer, Denise worked feverishly on her business until her final hours. Her daughter, Andrea Kuchlewska, who has been working for Denise’s businesses for decades is continuing Denise’s legacy and is now running LeaderXpress. Though not religious, Denise was a very spiritual person in a way that touched others and made a difference in their lives. Her friends and family practically worshipped this beautiful, youthful, mesmerizing woman. She loved to hike in the mountains of the Bay Area and camp throughout the American West. She cherished her New England heritage. She adored animals including her and Will’s cats, Opus and Polar, who preceded her in passing by seven years. Denise’s body will be cremated and there will be no funeral, per her request. She wanted a memorial service and that will happen in the coming weeks. Her friends, family, and business associates will be contacted once plans for that event are in place. Denise’s generosity was magnanimous, so if you are inclined to follow her lead, please donate in her name to a charity that helps the less fortunate among us. |
