About Breslin, Robert E. "Bob" 75, of Cape Coral, Florida and Sebago, Maine, formerly of Malden, September 8th. Beloved father of Julie Goodwin and her husband Donald of Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, Karen Solimini and her husband Stephen of Peabody, and the late Linda Peluso. Grandfather of Kelly, Megan, Julianne, Stephen Jr., Jillian, Robert and Samantha. Great grandfather of Alexander, Elizabeth, Jewel and Kasey. Brother of Joan Schofield and her husband Leo of Medford and Rockport, Marguerite Lynch and her husband John of Lynnfield, Sr. Evelyn Breslin, SSND of Rochester, NY, J. William Breslin of Rockport and the late Arthur J. Breslin 3rd. Son of the late Marguerite (Devine) and Arthur J. Breslin Jr. Longtime companion of Susan Bishop of Saugus. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Bob was raised in Malden and is a graduate of Malden High School, Class of 1958. He earned his diploma from the New England Institute of Applied Arts and Sciences in Boston in 1959 and became a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer at his family business in 1962. He remained at the business for a short time and then pursued a career as a Licensed Master Plumber. He served Malden and the surrounding area for many years. A motorcycle enthusiast, Bob was an active member of "Mean and Clean". He and many of his friends were always there for their fellow brothers in need of help. In his later years, he enjoyed spending the summer months in Sebago, Maine and the winter months in Cape Coral, Florida. Relatives & friends are invited to attend his funeral from the Breslin Funeral Home, 610 Pleasant St., MALDEN, on Monday, Sept. 14th at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden at 9 AM. Services will conclude with interment in Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Sunday Sept. 13th from 2-6 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the charity of your choice .
