About	Ruth A. Torres-Dent passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2015 in the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington, she was 67. Born in Melrose, she was the daughter of the late Angel Torres, Sr. and Ruth (Smith) Torres. Ruth was raised and educated in Malden and was a graduate of Malden High School with the Class of 1966. After school, she went to work for the John Hancock Company in Boston as an administrative assistant. She worked for many years for the company until her retirement in 2007. Ruth married the love of her life, Charles C. Dent in Boston and the couple soon moved to Malden to begin their family. Ruth was dedicated to her family and loved the time spent together. She adored her daughters and was devoted herself to them. An artist at heart, Ruth had an eye for interior decorating and loved to beautify her home. She was a master seamstress and made several garments, suits, and even more special, the gown she wore at her daughter’s wedding. Her nurturing side found her as an avid gardener, tending to her flowers and many plants. Some of her more proud moments were modeling for the company she worked for in Boston. A warm, generous, and kind soul, Ruth will be missed by all those she touched. Ruth is survived by her husband, Charles C. Dent of Malden, her daughters, Adrianna Dent-Firicano of Winthrop and Adelena Dent of Somerville, and her sister, Adelina Torres of Melrose as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Candida Torres, Angel Torres, Jr., and Anna Sparrow. A memorial service will be held in the Weir-MacCuish Golden Rule Funeral Home, 144 Salem Street, Malden on Friday, May 29, 2015.
