(Cahill) Gogan, a lifelong resident of Malden, passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2020, with her loving family by her side. Helen was born in Malden in 1944, the daughter of Timothy and Elizabeth Cahill. She was raised in Malden and graduated from Malden High School with the Class of 1963. In 1966 she married her sweetheart, Maurice E. Gogan, and the two settled down in Malden to raise their family. They shared nearly 55 years of marriage together. While raising the children, Carol and Michael, Helen worked at New England Telephone. She later took employment with Striker Electronics, where she worked until a disability forced her early retirement. She later was there to help raise her granddaughter Christina. In her free time, Helen enjoyed going to the beach. Helen is survived by her loving husband Maurice E. Gogan, her two children Carol A. Johnsson of Malden, Michael E. Gogan of Malden and her granddaughter Christina Johnsson. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister Eileen P. Dix, and her brother, Joseph T. Cahill. Funeral Services will be held at St. Josephs Church, 770 Salem St, Malden on Wednesday, Dec 23rd, at 10 AM. Interment to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
