(I sang solos in Choral Art Alumni and played violin in orchestra.) He was a pianist and organist extraordinaire, playing for the First Baptist Church on Salem Street, across from the high school. His concerts and recordings are too numerable to mention, playing throughout New England. (I'm sure he must have played further away, but my knowledge is limited.) He used to play the "Wednesday at The Wurlitzer" concerts at the Providence Performing Arts Center in Rhode Island, near where I live. Mr Love directed a concert for the one year anniversary of the Twin Towers, 9-11 disaster, shortly before he died on September 21, 2002. |
