Chief Harry Running Elk Taylor died April 25, 2021 at the Chelsea Soldiers Home, Chelsea, Mass.. He was born March 8, 1943 in Everett, Mass. to Harry Newton Taylor Sr and Beatrice J Smith.
His early education was at Beebe Jr High, Malden, Mass. and he attended Centre Methodist Church in Malden. Harry graduated from Malden High School in 1963. He was a member of the track team, the Choral Art Society and the Black Barrons drum and bugle corps. After graduation he joined the US Navy. After the Navy Harry worked at the Danvers Hospital in Danvers, Mass.. He also retired from the DPW, Malden, where he did maintenance work at the cemeteries.
Harry was a Chief, serving the Pocasset Wampanoag Tribe of the Pokanoket Nation for 21 years. He will be sadly missed.
