About Me Moved from NYS down to Daytona in 9th grade and the middle on my Junior year my father got transferred to Huntsville, AL with GE. My father was killed in a car accident 3 weeks after moving there but I finished my Junior year there. My mother and sisters moved back to Baldwinsville, NY, where I had attended school before moving to Daytona. I wanted us to move back to Florida but my Mom said, "No". After graduation, I worked at GE as a keypunch operator and became keypunch leader in Heavy Military Documentation and Radar Control. I was part of "Over the Horizon" radar program as a keypuncher. Then I moved up into Data Control as a Documentation Clerk. I took courses in Fortran and Cobolt programming and designed and implemented programs for my unit. I met my husband at General Electric and when I became pregnant, I took a leave of absence and after my son was born chose to stop working. 3 years later I had a daughter and when she was 2, I got involved in the school parent teacher group and eventually became President of the PTCO for two years. After I stepped down, I then got involved in the Boy Scouts of America as Advancement Chair and wrote Eagle Ceremonies for Eagle Scouts including my son. I took Scout Master Training but I chose not to be one...lol. After that I started doing Craft shows in Central, Western, and Northern NY state and I made and did crafts for 26 years. My Husband past on with Cancer and shortly after my mother died also. My daughter moved to California a week before my son and I moved to NC. It was either stay up in NYS or move with one of my kids because I had no other family in NYS. I still loved to be creative but have been working for Rite Aid for the last 11 years part time. I am trying to figure out the best way to sell my crafts seeing my best friend for 30 years isn't here to do shows with me. I have been living in NC since 2014. I miss the snow from up North and I still miss the Ocean from when I lived in Daytona (well actually Holly Hill which I found out the house we liv...(read more)
