About | Sara H. Johnson, 93, of Daytona Beach, passed away Monday, June 27, 2011. A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2011, at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona from 12pm until 1pm. The Funeral Service will begin at 1pm with entombment to follow at Daytona Memorial Park Cemetery. Sara was born in Daytona Beach, Florida on April 11, 1918 to the late David G. Hamilton and Ethel M. (Stephens) Hamilton. Mrs. Johnson was a member of one of Daytona's pioneering family's which established itself on the Holly Hill riverfront in 1895. Sara was a graduate of Mainland High School, class of 1935. Sara was a devoted wife, loving mother, and wonderful cook. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Sara and her husband Bill loved to travel across the US in their camper. She was a faithful parishioner of the Alliance Church in Daytona Beach. She is preceded in death by her husband William A. Johnson, mother Ethel, father David, and five siblings. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her beloved sons Charles D. Johnson (Mitch), of Lawrenceville, GA, Terry (Gail) Johnson, of New Smyrna Beach, FL; grandson Charles Johnson and fiancé Jenny Lassley, of Memphis, TN; brother Carl Hamilton, of New Smyrna Beach, FL; sister Carolyn (Jim) Rutherford, of Wimberly, TX; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
