About A Celebration of Life Service for Keith Allen Myrick, 43, of Ormond Beach, who passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2009 at Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center in Daytona Beach, will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 7, 2009 in The Ormond Beach Chapel of Volusia Memorial Funeral Homes, 548 N. Nova Road. Keith was a loving father to Cory Allen Myrick and a loving son to Keith and Brenda Myrick. He was very devoted to his son and parents and loved them with all his heart. Keith was born on March 23, 1966 at Halifax Hospital in Daytona Beach. He graduated in 1984 from Mainland High School. Keith was formerly employed as a Salesman with Haynes Brothers Furniture in Ormond Beach and with Rooms To Go in Daytona Beach before his accident in 2002. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, playing darts, and hydro sliding, but his greatest love was his son, Cory, and spending his time with him. He also had a great love for his dog, Magic. Survivors include his parents, Keith B. and Brenda Myrick of Ormond Beach; son, Cory Allen Myrick of Ormond Beach; uncle, Hoppy Fred Smith, Jr. of Ormond Beach; aunt, Peggy Barbee of Ormond Beach; aunt, Sylvia Myrick of Ormond Beach; uncle and aunt, Marvin and Barbara Myrick of Flagler Beach, FL; and the mother of Cory Allen, Kim Hogan; and numerous cousins. Keith was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Marguerita and Ralph Myrick and by his maternal grandparents, Jean Lee Shamblen and Fred Smith, Sr. Tributes and condolences may be sent to the family at www.mem.com.
