Alumni Stories
Booker T (Dab) Williams
Class of 1971
I am a proud Buc. I played football and ran track while attending Mainland. My biggest compliment came from Denzel Washington, when recognized me on Queen Latifah's program and Oprah Winfrey's program. He played junior varsity my senior year and we would pass by each other going to practice. He had a crush on a young lady (Debra Hill) he thought was my girlfriend. Debra and I never went together. She was a beautiful young lady, with the prettiest eyes. Anyway, I went on to serve in the Marine Corps for three years. I attended B-CC and played four years. I taught school for twenty seven years. I earned my Ed D.in 2011.
