| About Me | Now retired since 2020. Before that, and since leaving the Marine Corps in 1972 after Vietnam Service, started in DC area Real Estate with Century 21, owning thee franchises with about 50 agents. Sold that to my respective office managers and did commercial condo conversions for a few years, and land development. Sold that in 1985 and started Blue Ridge Telephone after the AT&T breakup, and stayed in Telecom and I.T. expense management after selling Blue Ridge Telephone to a public company in 1993. I did four other telecom and I.T. expense management start ups from 1994 through 2020, selling three to public companies and the fourth, sold back to my key employees in that last venture - Focus Point Technologies. Have been a US Naval Academy Blue and Gold Officer for about 20 years - helping kids get into US Naval Academy where from which I Graduated in 1969, taking a Commission in the US Marine Corps as a Combat Engineer Officer (1302). I was damaged in a Service Related accident and was given an Honorable Discharge and a 50% disability in 1972. I started the "Academy Mentoring Program" in 2009 along with 5 other of my USNA Classmates which now includes West Point, Air Force Academy, Coast Guard and Law Enforcement Veterans numbering over 24,000 at this time, with about 1500 Mentors, of which I am one.
