Events	Cathleen Lopez Sanchez November 18, 1963 — February 2, 2018 Cathleen Lopez Sanchez was called to the loving arms of her Lord on the 2nd day of February 2018 at the age of 54 years. Cathleen left this world with a sense of peace and with a loving smile surrounded by her family. She was a devoted mother to her precious son, Christopher Michael Sanchez. Cathy is the loving daughter of Cora L. Lopez and Alfonso R. Lopez, who passed 14 days after her. She is now joined by her father. Cathy’s services will be conducted alongside her father’s (See also Alfonso R. Lopez Sr. Obituary). Cathy is also survived by her older brother, Al Lopez and his husband, Rene' R. Santos and her sister, Minnie L. Ortegon with children Nicholas C. Lopez and Jacquelyn M. Ortegon. Cathy will also be missed by her loving animal kingdom... Cats- Tex, Whiskers, Pepper, Blackie, Garfield, Tiny, and PJ; her turtle, Tortuga; her raccoons, Tim and Cheryl, and arch rival, Archie, her dog. Surviving relatives also include aunts, uncles, cousins and many old family friends. Cathy lived her life to provide for her beloved son, Christopher and for that she will always be remembered and appreciated. She was a loving mother figure to all who knew her. She was known to be involved in countless school events, school athletics, Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and CYO, particularly at St. Mark's Catholic School, St. Peter's Catholic School, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School, St. John Paul II Catholic High School and Troop 512. Through the years Cathy shared many wonderful memories that span from her son's preschool years to his present day high school with many of Christopher's principals, teachers, nuns, clergy, coaches, school friends, and parents. Cathy was such a special and kind person. I didn't have many friends in high school. I don't know what she saw in me, but she decided to be my friend. What a good friend she was. I joined this site, specifically because I was looking to reconnect with her. So sad to have found confirmed, that she passed away. May her memory be for a blessing to her family and all of us.
