About Me	Sadly we post Robin's Obituary His Family Robin Dean "RC" Connery Oklahoma City Robin Dean Connery, age 48, passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 20th, 2011, at his home in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, from Transitional cell cancer of the bladder, directly caused from smoking. Stop smoking or better yet, don't ever start he would say if he could do so today. Born February 9, 1963, in Lyons, Ks. He attended school there until October of his Junior year, 1979 when he transferred to Maize High School, graduating with honors in 1981. He excelled in track and wrestling and with his boyhood friend , Mark Lebsack, they mastered the art of riding the unicycle, which they did in many school and City parades. Robin's first job was a paper route that he delivered on his unicycle. During his Senior year he held a full time job with Long John Silvers. He went on to become an award winning Manager at many locations in Wichita. He served in the U.S. Army, enlisting as a tank driver only for the sign up bonus, and was very proud of his Country, Flag, and service. He received an honorable discharge. He was very involved in the VRC and MICAM Programs in the Veterans Administration Hospital in Oklahoma City, and was one of many success stories to help Veterans become more useful after service life and not end up "couch potato's"' although he really enjoyed being one himself after military retirement. He always dreamed of flying or being an astronaut for NASA. He is survived by his Father and stepmother, Ron and Patti Connery, Larned, and Kathi (Killion Klinkerman) White, Hurchinson; his only child, Sean Michael,two Grandsons, Tyler Ryan and Michael Scott, Sister Kandy Connery-VanZant; Oklahoma City, Sister Leslie DeWitt (Skip) McMaster, Hutchinson, Ks; two stepchildren , Wendy Moots (Caven) Turbeville, Tony (Ashlee) Moots; one step-grandchild, Gavin Moots. also many aunts, uncles, and many cousins whom he loved to visit and keep in touch with. We will all miss his "bear hugs" he inherited from his Grandmother Meier, his shy smile, and quiet manner. He shared with us at her service that he learned never to cuss after she washed his mouth out with soap, but no one knew that until she passed away. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kimberly Kathleen who passed away August 3rd, 2005, Grandparents Coulter and Elva Connery, Lyons; Roy and Dorothy Meier, Hutchinson; Lewis C. Killion, Ft. Scott; Frank M. Klinkerman, Hutchinson; and cousins, Aaron David Connery, and Ronald Lewis Klinkerman, jr.
