| About Me | Was married to Laure Brewer from 1979 to her death 1997 (separated 1990). We remain friends until her passing of cancer. We had two sons and one son died before birth. Moved back to Texas in 1993 and been with my husband 25 years. Present time I am still teaching in a special education class ( autism specialist/ SOLE)and my husband works in radiology. Our son lives eight miles from his dads with his wife. Life is great and looking forward to retirement in 2021-22. We lost my dad at 92 in 2016 and my mum is still going strong at 91. We travel every July to Seattle to meet up with friends. When home we enjoy family, reading, writing, and gardening. In my spare time I write and have written a couple of books on being a survivor of sexual abuse and religion vs gay marriage along with many articles. I have been an advocate the past 30 years for the gay community, abuse, and education issues. When I came out and with 8 years of therapy I finally became whole person. I started my new beginning by obtaining four more degrees over the past years, raising our son, a niece, and we fostered. Before 1990 my life is almost a blank slat to me. I can only remember my abuse from age 8 to 19 years of age at the hands of my dad n others. This had nothing to do with my sexual preference. I have known since age 4 I was attracted to males. My life has taught me to be real, truthful, and love life as our lives are too short . Forgive n move on.
