About Me	2016 Greetings, reader of my post! I know why you're here. You probably read some comment of mine, and it ticked you off, but rather than come up with a thoughtful and convincing reply, you came here. You were hoping to find information you could use to discredit me in your reply -- like, that I'm in high school, a commie liberal or an uneducated rural conservative, or work at a burger joint (or some other place that makes me less of a human than your glorious existence as a "blogger mom" or "Facebook dad"). Do you know how I know that about you and your intentions on visiting my page? Because, despite your self-image as an autonomous, unique individual, by clicking through to my Facebook page, you're revealing yourself to be exactly like everyone else of your kind-- acting on your first lizard-brained impulse, poised to pounce, ready to share your perceived superiority with like-minded Facebook users via personal attack. But, I know the truth. You DO realize that you're common and predictable, and that you will never make any original contribution to thought or come up with a solution to make the world a better place, don't you? So, move along now and try to convince yourself that you are something other than what I have proven you to be: Petty and primitive. 2013 Well, the only resolution I'm making this year is NO resolution. Last year I vowed to enter a story a week in some publication. This made it WORK. A four letter word I still am staying away from. This year, I'll write when/if/how I feel like it. I did have another anthology accept one of my stories. Lucy (my twin, a Yorkie) was the subject for I LOVE LUCY in NOT YOUR MOTHER'S BOOK ON DOGS. Additionally Chicken Soup reprinted THE CHRISTMAS STOCKINGS in a softcover book that was released for Christmas 2012. Gifts of Christmas. No longer writing for Miss Kitty's Journal. Still pondering a second knee surgery and doing a backward dance. Just don't want to go through it again. The PUBLISHERS SYNDICATE is producing a new anthology series NOT YOUR MOTHER'S BOOK ON--- and after reading the first two of their books, I'm convinced they are going to skyrocket! I urge everyone to take a read. Most of 2012 rants sill apply, so I'm leaving them up. 2012 Chicken Soup is still my favorite publisher! However, I'm more opinionated now that I've been on this network for TWO years. First, I believe that TV is primarily responsible for the "dumbing down" of America. Targeted audience at FIFTH grade level? And news is NOT reported, it is CREATED! I also believe that drug companies, food additives, and doctors are responsible for 95% of our health problems. I'm getting DARN opinionated in my old age. And as much as I hate to admit it--I'm getting more like my father! YIKES that is awful. OK.... so I'm Retired and loving it! If I was having any more FUN, I'd have to be TWO people! Mother is still my inspiration--I want to be just like her when I am 85! Except that I want to do it in my RED hat. Four grandchildren not too far away. Busier than a one-legged man in a butt kicking contest. I am writing for Miss Kitty's Journal and this year will bring out my Seventh CHICKEN SOUP FOR THE SOUL book with one of my stories.
