| About Me | Since graduation, I have taken a very big bite out of life. I was married to the college half back, then divorced in 4 years. Worked at Pacific Bell in Sacto. for almost 9 years in Central Repair as an interpreter /translator for Spanish & Portuguese and wrote their 1st Bilingual Repair Guide which is still being used today. I also drew charts, posters and designed a weekly news letter until they divested. After that I worked for 2 years for the California Farm Bureau Federation in their New Business dept. negotiating between the agents and the attorneys. I then relocated to the SF South Bay and was married living in Los Altos, CA and launched Bookmark Publications Inc. (a multi lingual math & science supplemental publishing company which was one of President Bush's Points of Light). After my second divorce, I transitioned into events and launched Bookmark Productions, which for 10 years supplied world class musicians for MANY Bay Area private and public events, as well as museum concerts and festivals. I then received an invitation to work as a fundraiser for The Marriott Foundation for 2 years in Los Angeles, where I not only brought them in kind donations, companies to hire the handicapped youths enlisted in their program, but also got the 18-22 year olds in my territory (South Central) into jobs and college. We were trained by the Marriott organization as well as the Gang Tactical Unit of the LAPD. Having had prior experiences in my personal life which involved my being a victim of two violent crimes (shot in a hold up in South Sacto. and an attempted rape and assault with a weapon after one of my events in San Jose) I wanted to do something positive to prevent other youngsters from choosing to do such violent acts. Currently, I am a partner in a documentary film company (SEP), and editor at an online ePublishing company (OMP) in Alabama, as well as teaching Art & Spanish at a private Academy. I am a member of IIEG (The International Indie Entertainment Guild) and founded Aqua Angels NGO to assist with disaster relief efforts globally. My NGO is how I landed in Alabama 6 years ago, assiting with the relief efforts of the BP oil spill and the F5 tornado that devastated several communities. Once here the slow Southern pace appealed to me and my health improved drastically. So I decided to stay and use my talents to teach the next generation of young entrepreneurs! I am presently looking to complete my Masters degree in Spanish and was admitted as a lifetime member of the National Spanish Honor Society, Sigma Delta Pi this year.
