Luck School Alumni Scholarship Foundation Achieves 501(c)(3) Tax-Exempt Status
A grassroots effort to establish a scholarship, funded by alumni of the Luck Public Schools, has accomplished an important milestone. 501(c)(3) Tax-Exempt Status in the State of Wisconsin provides for donations to non-profit organizations to be tax deductible by the donor. Attorney Del Skow assisted in this process. Next steps for the Foundation Committee include plans for a mailing to all alumni, web access to alumni news and of course fund raising.
Luck Alumni Scholarship Foundation Committee President, Ron Petersen, has set a goal of offering 2 scholarships to 2010 graduates of Luck High School. Other alumni involved in the foundation include Kyle Johansen, Deb Kunze, Kent Petersen, Edna Lawson, Eiler Ravenholt, Marie Bazey and Wanda Johansen.
Wanda is working in concert with Amy Aguado, of Luck Community Ed, to update the current LHS alumni mailing list. Your help is needed to accomplish this task.
