Joined the Navy 1967, Air traffic controller, Viet Nam 1969-1971 On board USS Midway, Mostly stationed around San Diego, Three years on the island of Guam, Three years USS Acadia, Retired in San Diego 1991.

Three years active duty from 2000-2003. Trained at Fort Jackson, South Carolina as Administration Specialist. Assigned to Schofield Barracks, Hawaii from 2001-2002 then to Fort Shafter, Hawaii from 2002-2003. Remained in the Reserves until 2008.
