I served 2 years on Active Duty and 18 in the Army National Guard. My Basic Training and AIT were at Ft. Dix, NJ. I then served as a Motor Transport Operator and drove for the schools on post at Ft. Ord, Ca. Then I stayed in and split my National Guard service between Scranton, PA and Middletown, DE. I helped deliver rations and ice for a battalion of about 550 men in Scranton, PA.This was a HQ's Co. In DE I helped move people and materials for an Engineer Co. GOD protected me and I never got deployed!

Drafted July, 1964. Basic training at Fort Gordon, Georgia; advanced training (heavy weapons infantry) at Fort Polk, Louisiana. Traveled to Germany in January, 1965, and was ultimately assigned to the 2nd Reconaissance Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment at Straubing and Kaiserslautern, West Germany as the Squadron S-1 clerk (administrative work for a lieutenant colonel, major, captain and sergeant major). Our unit rotated to border security between West Germany and Czechoslovakia. Rotated back home in June, 1966 and was discharged.

3 yrs as a Liquid Oxygen Production Specialist while stationed at Hahn AB , German from 1979-1981, Assigned and Cross trained into Aircraft Electrician and assigned to McGuire AFB, New Jersey to Work on C-141 a & B Cargo Planes, Cross Trained and began Training as a F-16 Electronics and Air Conditioning Specialist, stationed at Homestead AFB, FL, Nellis AFB, Nevada as part of the USAF Thunderbirds Team, Kunsan AB, Koread to work on F-16 A,B,then C & D Variations and Final Duty Station Edwards AFB, Ca where I got to see the Space Shuttle land on 2 occasions. All enjoyable memories and recieved a Honorable Discharge 1994 from Active Duty then in 1996 From the WGANG Station at Willowgrove NAS in Warminster PA.
