Bryon L. McGuirk
Class of 1978
Air Force, 20+ Years
He began his career in 1978 working as an illustrator for the target intelligence wing at Offutt AFB in Omaha Nebraska. At that time he also trained as a Law Enforcement Augmentee and was part of the USAF Honor Guard. Moved to Castle AFB after 4 years and became a Jet engine mechanic. Was there till 87 and retrained again as a Flight Engineer on C-5 Galaxy Aircraft and was stationed at Travis AFB in Fairfield Ca.. He Flew around the world for 11 years and was involved in every major world event form in87 to 1996 including all 3 phases of the gulf war, Somalia, Panama, and many, many relief efforts. Bryon finished his career as a Readiness specialist and taught chemical warfare defense to all base personel. He was part of the Prime Beef Readiness Team and was the Training and Logistics Manager for the entire team

Matthew joined the Army in Sept 79, was assigned at Fort Belvior Va, for 3 years, reassigned to Ft. Lewis Wa, assigned to 2/75 Ranger Bn, took part in operation Urgent Fury. Assigned to Europe in 1985- 1988. Assigned to Ft, Hood, Tx 1988-1991, deployed to Desert Shield/ Desert Storm.
Joined national Guard in 1991 served 13 years in 40th inf. Deployed to floods , fires, in Ca. took part in operation Noble Eagle after 9/11. Retired in 2004, and now works for San Francisco V.A. Medical Center.
