About	I am Mel's sister, Beth and I apologize to all who knew Mel and are learning of his passing thru this website. Mel was killed in a motorcycle accident in August. I had posted information of the funeral arrangements etc. on Facebook at that time. Today is the first time I have been on the Alumni website since. Mel is now with our mother whom also passed recently of lung cancer. He left behind, not only myself, but also our father, 3 nephews, a wife, 2 beautiful grown daughters, and 2 grandchildren. Mel's service was beautiful and so many friends of his attended his service that the funeral home had to set extra chairs up in the hallways. They said it was the largest service they had ever scheduled. There was also a motorcycle procession of 16 bikes that followed our family to the cemetary in Crittenden, KY. Mel will forever be missed, and he was loved more than he ever would've thought possible.
