Graduation Ceremony on the stage in the auditorium. I prided myself on being on time, hate being late. But on graduation night my step mother fed brothers and sisters, drove brother Todd and sister Cindy to school. Then came and picked me up an hour late, got home my younger brother Craig wore my clothes Ito school that I planned to wear to graduation. So I got the clothes I had on cuffed Elephant Flair jeans and a collared button down shirt. I get to school late, everyone is on the stage sitting down, my brother Todd and Earl Hamilton come out as they were ushers and said why aren't you up there. I tell them what happened and they get Mrs. Bishop who says where your hat and gown I pointed to my locker behind me. She says put it in, I say I:ll just pick it up afterwards she says no. I put it on and she drags me down the aisle during the triple trip singing. The girl standing next to my sister while they were singing and pointed at me, which made everyone to look, which is what I didn't want to happen. As I walked behind the triple trip to get to the center of the blachers to walk up I hear folks say glad to see you could make it, I tripped halfway up, sit down next to Bonita and gave her my carnation and I took her rose. I also noticed that even the folks who wore blue jeans everyday to school for 4 yrs were in dress slacks button down shirts and a tie, the first time I ever saw them that was. I was probably the only person late, guy with blue rose, and wearing cuffed Elephant Flair jeans and a old collared button down shirt. My memory of my graduation.
