About Me	Born at Stanford Hospital, Palo Alto CA, I grew up in a bicultural environment. My Mom, who was born ad raised in Spain, gave me an appreciation and love for my Spanish heritage. My Dad, whose parents were Spanish immigrants, was a good person, a farmer by profession, who made sure my sister and I had the best education and never lacked or wanted for anything. I grew up in Los Altos CA and, after graduating from Foothill Junior College in 1972, my family and I went to live in Spain. There I immersed myself in the language and culture for 5 1/2 years while studying and working some odd jobs.
