| About Me | I attended the University of New Mexico after graduating from Los Alamos High School. Upon receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, I embarked on the pursuit of an advanced degree in Chemistry. Like many of our generation, I discovered that the Department of Defense wished to guide my immediate future. After some negotiation, I agreed to accept their offer of employment. Armed with a degree in Biology and two years of High School Latin, I requested an assignment to study the flora and fauna of Ancient Rome. They apparently misread my Career Preference Form and declared me to be a computer programmer. Instead of the Roman Forum, I was sent to obscure habitats including West Germany, Oklahoma, and Mississippi. I had no knowledge of the language and customs of any of these communities but I did gain the trust of a few indigenous residents to gain enough local lore to survive. In Oklahoma, always park on the windward edge of a shopping mall parking lot. A wind driven cart will add new character to a downwind car door. In Mississippi, the phrase, "Y'all watch fer snacks", does not mean look for Twinkies; it's dodge the water moccasins. During this interlude in my journey, I met and married a fellow programmer. She was from Oregon, so a compromise between sea food and New Mexico cuisine was required. As a team, we had enough confidence to leave the cloistered life of The Order and moved to Albuquerque. There, we marketed our skills as programmers. Trestle Site and Bohannan Huston Engineering are on our resumes. I also worked on a dozen film projects including the movies "Gettysburg", "The Postman", and "Wild Wild West". I mostly rode horses and drove horse drawn wagons and field artillery.
