Mary Laura Ruff died March 5, 2014, after a short illness. Survived by friend, Eddie Reno, Marshall; son, Michael Menig, Minneapolis, MN; sister, Sue Ann Cocke; bro, Jon B (Nancy) Ruff; sis-in-law, Martha Ruff Murray. Parents preceded her in death, Wilma & Glen Ruff;bro, Jere J Ruff. Born April 25, 1946 Lgv. Attended North Texas U & in 1983, earned a Bachelor of General Studies from The U of Tx, Dallas. Those who knew her admired & loved her for her free spirit & caring nature. She was an artist & enjoyed teaching about various forms of art, literature, storytelling & music. She lived in Santa Fe NM, Kearney NB, Dallas, Lgv, & Marshall. She left a gift of herself through the art she created wherever she lived. In Santa Fe, she wrote Sacred Poetry on the Path, as the name of Mary Rose – Gentle Doe. In 1997, she became a licensed massage therapist & July 2012, certified as a specialist in biofeedback & stress management. Celebration of her life was Mon, March 17, 2014, 1st Christian Church, Dr. Richard Emerson officiating.
