Services for Randy B Correll, 42, Longview, an executive of Colt Industries Stemco Division wereSat at Mobberly Baptist Church with Dr Laney Johnson & the Rev Mike Potter officiating. Burial was in Lakeview Memorial . He died Thurs afternoon in a local hospital following a lengthy illness. Was assistant to the group v-president of Colt Industries & served as division president of Stemco for 5 years. Joined Stemco as assistant controller in 1974 & held several key management positions during his 14 years with the company. Graduated from LHS in 1964 & attended Kilgore College. He served in the Army for 3 years & later attended East Texas State U, receiving his bachelor of business administration degree in accounting. Served as director of Mobberly Baptist Church Building Together in Love campaign & chaired the Planning & Building Committee for the church’s Phase III building program. A board member of the Longview YMCA, he was elected as president in 1986. He served as co- chairman of the Industrial Division for the United Way fund drive for 2 years & as board member for Junior Achievement of East Texas. Survivors: wife, Karen; daughters, Shannon & Amie & son, Shane,all Lgv; parents, Mr/Mrs Sonny Correll, Mineola; sisters, Gay Brown, El Paso & Robin Brooks, Quitman. His in laws are Mr&Mrs Tommy Carlisle, Longview.
